Are you a passionate member of Newport News eager to make a difference but lacking access to affordable comprehensive leadership training?

Our FREE Neighborhood Leadership Institute is tailored specifically for individuals who are new to leadership roles or are in the early stages of their leadership journey, aiming to equip them with the necessary skills and insights to effect positive change.

👉 Who This Program is For: This program is designed for those who may not have had prior access to structured leadership development opportunities. If you've been seeking a supportive environment to foster your growth as a community leader and haven't had formal training, this program is for you!

⚠️ Not For Seasoned Leaders: If you've already held substantial leadership positions or have extensive experience in guiding community initiatives, this institute might not align with your current needs. Our focus is on nurturing budding leaders who haven't had ample exposure to leadership skill development.

Foundational leadership skills tailored for community initiatives
Practical strategies for effective communication and collaboration
Insights into planning, problem-solving and decision-making in community contexts
Networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and mentors

Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm. There will be in-person and virtual classes throughout the session. Locations for in-person classes will be identified at the start of the session. And, virtual classes will take place via Zoom.
